The US Supreme Court’s 2024 decision in Connelly v. U.S. upended buy-sell planning for every business owner potentially facing an estate tax. In this presentation, we will examine the tax, legal and practical implications of this decision, and provide analysis of several potential innovative solutions.

10:30 am – Educational Course entitled “Maximizing Wealth: The Importance of Coordinating Financial Assets with the Estate Plan, #6000171043 (approved for 1 hour of General CE credit).

This webinar will review strategies to coordinate estate planning with various types of financial assets, including investments, real estate, retirement accounts, insurance, etc. It will discuss how to align financial assets with estate planning objections, and more!

The following is a snap-shot of his background:

Randy has had a very diversified career. He graduated from OSU with an accounting degree and became a CPA over forty years ago. He practiced public accounting with one of the largest accounting firms in the world and also worked with a local firm in Oklahoma City. After two years as an accountant, he attended law school at OU. He then worked for several law firms before starting his own law practice. Most of his time practicing law was spent doing estate planning, elder law, general corporate work, tax planning and controversy work.
